This book covers the main areas of the discipline from an American viewpoint. It is ideal for a broad introduction to the subject, perhaps high school students considering a career in this field would find it useful. However I feel most college students would find it a little too basic. It is well written and easy to read but left me wanting much more information.

I have rated this book from the point of view of someone thinking of studying physiotherapy and/or preparing for university interviews. It gives an overview of the physiotherapy profession and the different areas of specialisation that physiotherapy covers - like musculoskeletal, cardiorespiratory and neurology. It also gives helpful tasters for conditions that you will study and treat as a student and perhaps throughout your career. It arms you with a good knowledge base for university interviews too. I know I was asked to discuss the different areas of physio in my interviews! A very good introductory text.
