Product Description

Got 10 seconds? Download an album! That¿s the kind of magic Apple¿s new iPod digital music players afford. That, and enough storage space for more than 7,000 songs; a slim, super lightweight design (weighing less than two CDs!); and access to the iTunes Music Store and its 200,000 or so songs. And these represent just the tip of the iceberg! To get the inside skinny on all you can do with the latest iPod models, you need this fun, practical, thoroughly updated volume from popular Mac columnist and author Christopher Breen. A reengineered, all-touch interface; customizable menus; on the-go playlists; support for more (and better) audio formats; a new travel alarm clock; wired remote control; an elegant and convenient charging and syncing dock; and a trio of fun games are just some of the new features covered here. You¿ll also find hints for accessorizing and protecting your iPod, tips for maximizing its storage capabilities, and troubleshooting advice for when it refuses to cooperate.

1.0 out of 5 stars a very expensive mistake, 1 May 2004

This review is from: Secrets of the IPod (Paperback)
Gripped by iPod fever on delivery of my lovley new toy, I made the mistake of shelling out for this expensive tome.

There is nothing here that you cannot work out yourself within a few weeks of owning an iPod, from the perfectly helpful material that comes free with it.

Should you make the same mistake as me and shell out for this book, you will be doubtless, like me furious with yourself for buying a book that contains ten pages describing what comes in the box with your pod.How illuminating is that? Like I needed a discription of the carrying case and the earbuds.

Save your money and buy some music for your pod instead.

THis book does not help you uncover every little secret about the ipod or teach you exeactly how to use it but instead it teached you how to uncover all the little hidden secrets buried inside this little bundle of joy. This book is a must buy for anyone who does not already own and ipod and wants to beome aware of its secrets or someone who has only just purched one and if wondering how he can get the most out of the ipod.
