This book approaches RUP with a pragmatic view, and highlights not just what should be done with RUP, but also the lessons learnt, and what mistakes should not be made. As the lead process engineer for a large SI, I will be encouraging as many people as I can to read this book as part of their overall training plan. And it has tought me a great deal, I didn't really require vast information on RUP, just enough to get me through a contract I was doing, and this book was a big help in introducing me to RUP and its methodologies.
