I have to say that I've looked at a lot of dreamweaver and flash books and most are just not accessible to the complete beginner. This book and Flash MX HOT are simply fantastic. I went from knowing nothing to being an intermediate user in dreamweaver and flash in 2 weeks. The CD ROM is also excellent and comes with helpful exercise files and quicktime movies.
The website is an excellent resource to explore the materials further.

I have found this book absolutely invaluable for learning the most important features of Dreamweaver quickly and easily. It avoids the trap that quite a few IT books fall into, which is to spend too long on what the features of the software are, without giving practical examples of what they can do.

The best feature of this book are the example websites included on the CD which form the basis of each lesson. These are supplemented by video clips of selected topics. The book illustrations are very clear and lead you through step-by-step. Well worth the money, especially if you want to try Dreamweaver out before paying for the full software.

I recommend this book to anyone that is looking to learn Dreamweaver that has little experience with it. By that I mean having started it up, and realising they you going to need some help.
The book is extremely thorough in taking you through basiic to intermediate functionality, and provides ample opportunity for you to practise what you have learned with materials supplied on the CD.
Through out the whole book the writers are consistent in assuming that you know nothing, and explain everything appropriately. Never the less the process is quick, and I was able to finish the book in 2 weeks.
There are some Movies on the CD also, which provide a welcome break to reading if you have been at it for a few chapters. These movies are very good learing aids and often back up your understanding of complex issues.
As a summary I would say that if you want to successfully learn Dreamweaver, buy this book.
