5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent book for beginner or more advanced bird watchers., 19 May 1999
By A Customer
What a thrill this book is. It has great color photos of males, females, adults, immature birds and seasonal shots. Very easy to use with the color coded sections and a wealth of information regarding feeding, nesting, behavior and more. I was extremely pleased with this book and look forward to purchasing more from Donald & Lillian Stokes.

5.0 out of 5 stars excellent book for the birder, 12 May 1999
By A Customer
I found this book to be an excellent resource for birds in Wisconsin. With its companion CD they make a wonderful resource and have helped me identify many of the birds in my area.

5.0 out of 5 stars A great field guide..., 29 Dec 1998
By A Customer
I've used most of the bird field guides and this one is the best. It is clear and easy to use. The photographs capture the field marks better than some others. I like the easy access to the maps (they're included with every bird description).

1.0 out of 5 stars This book, despite its title, is not a field guide
