Readers are invited to explore every deck and feature of the legendary liner, including the Grand Staircase, the huge dining saloon and the Turkish baths. A four-page fold-out section provides an overview of the "floating city" which was home to over 2000 people. Including a look at the heart of the ship - its bridge - on the night that disaster struck, illustrations demonstrate how the liner collided with the iceberg which signalled its demise, and depict the water slowly filling the ship after the fatal collision. Finally, words and pictures recreate the last hours of the "Titanic"'s life as the "unsinkable" ship disappeared beneath the sea.
