Bad Blood is a book I really enjoyed. It began innocently enough but by page twenty I was hooked.
It is book one of a series so there was a far amount of setting up the world and introducing the characters and there are some parts that are left open at the end of the book which are obviously for the sake of the following novel.
The only thing that I could find to complain about is that sometimes the perspective switches between Sasha and Hunter without much warning. But once it has happened once or twice you get used to it.
The romance is hot but doesn't feel repetitive or sleazy, just sexy. The characters are interesting and some are charismatic where as others you just love to hate. They have pasts as well and don't feel like the author has just pulled them out of the air. The demon-werewolves are strong and frightening adversaries and I liked the shadow-wolves too.

Bad blood is an interesting new take on the werewolves with great characters and a good plot. Even if you are not a fan of L. A. Banks' vampire books I would heartily recommend giving this one a try. As soon as I finished it I was tempted to go back to the beginning and start all over again and I bought the second in the series as soon as it came out.
If that isn't a mark of a good book then I don't know what is.
