This novel is set in the times of the Civil Rights movement in the US. Jenna and Randolph, two college students at Howard University, find love at a frat party and a riveting romance begins. However trouble ensues as someone else has their eyes on Jenna's man and, unaware of this fact, things start to go wrong for Jenna and Randolph with no hope of things getting better. This book takes you on a journey over four decades depicting the love that Jenna and Randolph share and although it is lost for a while it is never forgotten. With poignant sub plots dealing with racism, betrayal, lust, friendship, heartache and death not even Holyfield could read this without shedding a tear.

This book is for anyone who wants to be in love, is in love or has just fallen out of love. It is a beautiful tradtional story of how things should be done.

....... and a bit boring. Sorry Mrs Jackson but your other books are better. Yes there are twists and turns but so many of them were unrealistic that it just became predictable and then boring.

I'm still a fan of Mrs Jackson but really can't recommend this book!
