I received this book today and it's fantastic. I'm brand new to sewing and unfortunately bought the Reader's Digest sewing guide first, which was way too complicated for my level.

Decided to try this one instead. The language is geared specifically to new sewers, with easy to understand instructions and pictures. Also, it's really nice to see a modern book about sewing (like all the lovely knitting ones around), a lot of the other books on the market look very old fashioned and bland in comparison.

The book comes with 3 patterns for a cushion cover, tote bag and skirt. Can't wait to get stuck in this weekend........

This book is awesome. It is perfect for beginner sewers or anyone looking to improve their technique. It teaches you how to thread, sew on buttons, and comes with a pillow, tote and skirt pattern.

I fancy this book with a passion. I would recommend it to anyone who is looking to be creative through sewing. The online store actually has online learning with videos. I tried the makeup bag which was fun. When I visited their NYC USA store they said they were expanding and expecting another book. I can not wait.
