I've been searching for a good collection of short stories, and have found very few that were satisfying.....with a twist at the end.

Most modern short stories don't even have an ending...they just leave you hanging there whilst you fererishly turn the next page looking for the missing bit, finally realising that there isn't any.

I really thought if anyone could do it Jonathan Carroll would, with that incredible offbeat style of his...but I was wrong again.

Promising start and middle in some of these tales...then bam! ...turn over
and next story begins.
SCREAM!
