Pennycook "jpennycook" (Basingstoke, Hampshire, UK) - See all my reviews (REAL NAME)    This book is a good history of the American and Soviet/Russian space station programmes, at least until the end of Mir. Unfortunately it gets very rushed and does not have as much detail as I would have liked about the International Space Station. Photographs and more detailed diagrams of the structure (both internal and external) of the space stations would have been interesting for me. This is clearly written by an American writer - the Soviet and Russian politics is presented from a point of view slightly unfamiliar to me, but that doesn't detract from the rest of the book.
