Product Description

Product Description

Birdsong, colourful butterflies, the gentle hum of bees, enchanting glimpses of hedgehogs or other wild creatures - all add a vivid new perspective to your garden. But natural gardens are not just a matter of letting your plants run wild. This practical guide takes a realistic approach to organic methods and shows how to create your ideal garden. All aspects of planting and maintaining a garden are covered, including advice on habitats and soil types, co-ordinating colour and foliage, and identifying and dealing with pests.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent little book for both new and established gardens, 22 Aug 2006
By M. T. Hughes "Voice Of Truth" (Wirral, Merseyside) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I bought this book a couple of years ago and - despite all the other great books out there on the same subject - I always come back to this one. It is very well structured and written in a style and format that is easy for anybody to understand and apply to their own needs. The plant, shrub and tree references at the back of the book are really very useful. My own garden is now extremely wildlife friendly and much of the influence to both get me started and continue to maintain the garden are down to this excellent little book.
