4.0 out of 5 stars Harrowing tales of first hand experiences in Bomber Command, 11 Dec 2000
By A Customer
The politics, morality and military campaigns of WW2 make for fascinating reading, but this book puts a human face on the Allied struggle in wartorn Europe. These are real stories by real people who were in the front line with Bomber Command, and their battles against the unknown night after night makes the flesh creep. A series of sobering tales to remind anyone who needs reminding of the real cost of armed conflict.
