1.0 out of 5 stars There are smarter ways to spend your money..., 13 May 2001
A few inconsistant 3D computer generated images and another lot of reprinted so called "never previously published" pictures are obviously not enough to justify such an expense.

In addition many illustrations are false, which is a real shame for such a book. Do you want examples:

- Pzkpfw 38(t): page 65 wrong layout of the turret main gun and coax + wrong placement of the cupola.

- Pzkpfw VI "Tiger": page 121 top view is inverted.

In addition the text carries a huge number of "clichés" and other "ready to think/speak" ideas which make it quite boring.

Definitely not worth the price...Avoid if you can.

The triple null was not available in the ratings, that is though my opinion on this book.

5.0 out of 5 stars A very enjoyable read!, 12 May 2001
I reccommend this book to any one who is interested in the different types of tanks assault guns and tank destroyers employed by the german during world war 2. the book also gives firs hand accounts from panzer troops in battle and also includes writing from the american military intelligence book published towards the end of the war. over all a great all round account
