I have a fat cat so I got bought this book - it is the best present ever. If you own a cat, fat or not - READ THIS BOOK. You will end up with a deep understanding about your animal and give it the most wonderful life so easily. Mine is now losing weight, playing and purring. EXCELLENT

What I like best about this book are the lovely, quirky pictures by the creator of the Church Mice books - the cats are alive and mischievous, and doing all manner of catty things. (I haven't tried any of the recipes yet, but enjoy leafing through the pictures - it's such a beautiful book!)

The text begins by giving a very brief history of cats living with people, and then gives laymen's information on cat's dietary needs, holistic health, and fitness (including ideas for getting your cat active). The last section includes different types of healthy dinner recipes and snacks to try, and also gives an idea of the basic things to include in a meal (eg. protein, fats, calcium/bone meal, etc.)
