5.0 out of 5 stars Royal Jewels and their provenance, 7 Sep 2002
By Mr J D WILLMOTT (Northampton, Northants England) - See all my reviews
This with previous editons remains a highlight in detailed documentation for this subject - years of continuous research are well illustrated in the information given. Refuting many inaccuracies and bending of the truth for sensational publications by other writers ,this must be the absolute authority on the collection of both private and public jewels owned by Her Majesty Queen elizabeth II and other members of the Royal Family

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent and comprehensive, 3 Jun 1999
By A Customer
This is by far the best book that anyone could possibley want for a general overview of the Queen's private jewellery.

I just wish there was one like this for the Russian imperial family jewellery.

VERY highly recommended

4.0 out of 5 stars Comprehensively Reviews jewellery worn by British Royals, 24 Feb 2001
By A Customer
The book is a very thorough review of the different types of jewellery in the personal collections of the British Royal family, although to my mind diamonds were rather over-represented compared to say amethysts aquamarines or turquoises, it offers a useful insight into how jewellery fashions have changed over the 20th century in particular - although for most of us this is jewellery at the stratospheric level. Well worth buying but not if it's technical information you're after
