5.0 out of 5 stars Why you should buy this book, 4 Mar 2006
By Mrs. J. A. Flisher (UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This books is an absolute must for anyone who suffers from dyslexia, dyspraxia, dysculculia or related related conditions.

Through its pages it shows suffers that far from being a disability it is fact a gift. It gives a first hand account of how the author overcame his severe dyslexia, but also gives suffers practical information on how to overcome their condition, it also explains in a clear and concise way how their condition affects them and other people.

This book is useful for adults or children. For anyone wanting to know why they are dyslexic and how they can be helped, this is a very down to earth, commonsense book. Read it - you will not be disaapointed.

4.0 out of 5 stars It enables you to understand the frustrations of a dyslexic, 18 April 2000
By A Customer
My son is nearly 7 and has been diagnosed as dyslexic. By reading this book it has enabled me to understand more fully why he reacts the way he does in certain circumstances and the frustrations he will face. It also talks very positively and relates to it as a 'Gift'. Equally importantly, it has made me understand in greater depth the problem my husband faces and faced growing up with Dyslexia. I thought I understood my husbands problems, but in truth I only scratched the surface! Now I can understand why he has difficulties with some things and is brilliant at others! A very interesting and enlightening read.

5.0 out of 5 stars The Gift of Dyslexia, 15 Sep 2003
I have Just recently found out im Dyslexic at the age of 25. I wanted to find out more so I bought this book. This Book is a Dyslexic friendly book which was easy for me to read and I related to it as it explained exactly the way i feel as a dyslexic. this is a good book for people to read who want to know about the subject and for teachers who are clueless about Dyslexia and need to find out about it.
