4.0 out of 5 stars A difficult book to put down until finished, 6 Sep 2000
By A Customer
This book will interest any one with a love of dog stories and/or interest in The Lake District. The vivid writing brings the Lakes to life and the book moves along at a pace which demands that once started you don't put it down until you reach the end. The Author has an obvious conection with the Characters she writes about and this adds to the sense of the reader actually being there and part of the stories. A book I would strongly recommend.

5.0 out of 5 stars The ultimate in canine/human devotion., 14 Feb 2009
As a self confessed dogaholic, I can think of nothing that would bring me more hope that a soft warm muzzles nudging into me to tell me help is close at hand. Risking life and limb we can thank the human element of these amazing teams. But what can we say or do to show their canine counterparts how indebted we are to them too? Humbling, thought provoking, laughter making, tear jerker you will want on your book sHelf forever. Sam - God bless for by now you have crossed the rainbow bridge.
