I purchased my first home a year ago, and had little idea about plants for inside or outside the home. This book could not have been more helpful and I now have a better idea of how I will plant my garden next spring! I love the differnt sections, and now have a better idea of how to care for my plant purchases, as well as shade/sunlight placement. A great present for first time home buyers or gardening enthusiasts.

This book's 1975 edition was given me by my parents. It is a treasure trove of all around gardening expertise in one hard copy book. I recommend it highly and if you are a gardener, within a year or two, yours will be very "used looking." It is a wonderfully written, yet concise encyclopedia of plants, flowers, and garden information.
