Product Description

Product Description
On October 3rd, 1993, two members of the 160th Special Operations Regiment rappelled from their helicopter into the streets of Mogadishu, Somalia. Their mission was to rescue the injured crew of a downed American Blackhawk helicopter about to be overrun by Somali rebels. The men immediately found themselves in a firefight that would cost them, and many of their downed crew, their lives. For their acts of herosim, many of the Rangers have been recommended for Silver Stars and some for the Congressional Medal of Honor (the first in over 20 years). Kent DeLong documents this heoric but tragic mission, having been granted sole access to the military personnel involved, in a dramatic book which has film and television possibilities.
