5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, useful and funny book , 8 Jan 2008
Someone bought me this as a present, and even though I don't usually read self-help books, I gave it a go. I was really impressed- it's so frank and truthful about the author's own experiences, and there's also loads of really practical, helpful tips about how to help your kids and yourself. It's one of the few books of this sort that doesn't make you feel bad about yourself- quite the opposite. I'd recommend this to every single parent, it really is great.

In response to the first review, I'd like to add that it is also really valuable for all parents as it gives information on how children function at different stages.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MUST HAVE FOR SINGLE PARENTS!!!!, 27 Feb 2009
By Ms. L. K. Bell "L K Bell" (U K) - See all my reviews

This book is amazing and really helped me through a difficult time. The author talks about her previous experiences, which are very similar to my own and gave me some tips on how to improve the way I think about things and how to gain control of my life again. There is a part in the book which she states 'It's a big regret that I didn't learn how to enjoy being a parent I was so busy trying to survive it' and that relates to me so much because being a single parents hard being all the roles in one. I highly recommend this to any single parent.
