From the Back Cover
The sixth edition of Europe's best selling Organisational Behaviour textbook builds on the strengths and reputation of previous editions. With its accessible writing style and comprehensive coverage and strong internal layout it has proven to be the text of choice for students of business and management. By presenting a managerial approach to organisational behaviour and demonstrating the application of behavioural science within the workplace the author emphasises the role of management as a core integrating activity. Management and Organisational Behaviour features annually in bestseller lists compiled in The Guardian, The Times, The Bookseller and Management Today.

A critical reflection feature within each chapter encourages the student to critically evaluate the key ideas and practices within management and organisational behaviour. It includes a 'debate' topic which offers a springboard for lively group and class discussion of important issues.
A page referenced glossary of key terms at the end of the book enables students to locate the information quickly.
New and updated articles from the Financial Times have been chosen to highlight the debate in the media and amongst practising managers concerning topical issues.
References to research and publications have been rigorously edited to ensure only the most relevant, important and up-to-date are included.
For students there is a first class Companion Website with multiple choice questions containing extensive feedback, annotated weblinks, suggested activities and further case studies to complement the text.
For the lecturer, an enhanced lecturer's guide with teaching notes and a range of additional case studies and seminar activities is available. PowerPoint slides, OHT masters and a bank of multiple choice questions and answers will also be available. Comments from the users of the fifth edition of Management and Organisational Behaviour- We needed a textbook written to fit into the European context and the European way of thinking. Mullins has provided us with that perfectly. The international dimension will help students in their future studies and beyond.
Jorgen Ljund, Linkoping University
The book is logically structured and clearly written, thus enabling easy access to the subject without compromising the academic integrity. The theories and concepts discussed in the text are clearly applied through interesting and relevant case studies. It is ideal for undergraduates, but I have also found it proves useful for overseas postgraduate students, for whom English is not their first language.'
Alf Crossman, Surrey European Management School, University of Surrey
'This text offers a balanced view of management theories with stimulating, but practical illustrations for a whole range of practitioners.'
Jeannie Frodsham, Lecturer in Management Studies, DMS Co-ordinator, Bury College

4.0 out of 5 stars Management and Organisational Behaviour, 9 Sep 2002
I bought this book as a recommended text for Core Management - first year of the CIPD Professional Qualification. It was excellent, and helped me a lot with the 'Managing People' module of the course. Even though it is the 1993 version, it differs only slightly from the more recent versions.

3.0 out of 5 stars Large, Informative, but Useful?, 21 Dec 2003
By Mr. Damian J. McGrath (Bristol, UK) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
I am currently studying Software Engineering at university, and as part of the course, there is a Management and Organisational Behaviour module, which required me to buy this book. However, after 2 of 4 years, I can honestly say I have used the book a total of 3 times, and two of them were in the first month of the course.

The Software Engineering course only does the management course for 2 hours a week, but for people who get told to buy this book for this course, don't bother. It's not relevant and will not help you as much as a search on Google will.

However, the book does cover almost everything you could possibly want it to, and for people doing a dedicated management course, this book is probably the best choice for you, so thats where it earned its 3 stars. It is a great book, although the information is presented in a way that some people may find difficult to digest. You have to be dedicated to the topic to get your way through it, so make sure it's exactly what you want, and what you require before buying it.

5.0 out of 5 stars Excellent for one-liners in reports, 29 Oct 2001
By A Customer
I found this book extremely useful whilst writing reports for my Business course. It gave me a lot of quotes and ideas for the flow of my report. It is easy to understand and goes into just enough detail. An excellent investment!
