4.0 out of 5 stars comprehensive, well-structured, nononsense intro to top mba, 9 Jul 2001
    By A Customer
With a university degree in mathematics and a job as an OpenVMS system manager (ICT), I have been looking to expand my knowledge in the domains of finance, marketing, accounting, ... By chance I attended a session about international MBA's at the top schools. A brave new world was spreading upon the horizon!! I found the reference to this book via a Belgian job-site and it was of great interest to me. It deepened much of the discussions I informally had during the session and I feel better informed to further tackle the path to business education. What pleased me quite well was the will of the authors to give a realistic view on the mba-experience instead of the will to mistify it, as many others like to do. The book is very well structured taking you from the start, the application, to the end, finding a job. All aspects are treated by equal importance, the hard work, the networking, ... There are some nice testimonials giving you a good feel of what it is like. This is a good intro but I think it is NOT THE GUIDE THAT HELPS YOU DECIDE WHICH SCHOOL TO TAKE.
