What a brilliant book.

Instead of a book full of lengthy discussions, here is a simple book of checklists. The book is extremely comprehensive - every aspect of supervision/management is covered, which is a feat in itself. The questions and checklists are thorough, and provide crucial thought-provoking material for managing. Asking yourself questions is much more effective than reading paragraphs of text - the questions stimulate your thinking. As our actions flow from our thinking, it stands to reason that the more rounded our thinking, the better our actions.

To do all this at such a reasonable price is an example that other business publications should learn from (a great many business books are overpriced and under-deliver). This book is an essential handbook for every line manager in business today. Buy it and use it.

Excellent primer. Dozens of checklists cover most situations a manager might need help with. A delightful discovery.
