Product Description

Product Description

This introductory textbook is written for the first/second year undergraduate student and has been designed to meet the needs of these students. Whilst the contents of the typical book in this area is professional-course driven and heavily technical, this text provides a better balance between technical and non-technical content, which much better meets the need of the undergraduate, particularly the non-accounting student.
Management Accounting is substantial in content but is not of an intimidating size. It offers a range of questions and answers specially written for the book, not reproduced from professional past papers. The support package is comprehensive and innovative, consisting of Power Point presentations, OHT masters,
solutions and an MCQ testbank. Above all, the book brings management accounting into the real world by the extensive use of FT case studies, and is written in an interesting ans accessible style. The book takes account of modern economic reality by not focusing excessively on the manufacturing industry, but also including service and public sector organisations in the picture.

4.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic quality reading and simultaneous learning, 12 Oct 2000
By A Customer
The great thing about this book, is that your knowledge is always being tested as you go along, and not just at the end of the chapter or book even ! Recent (circa 4 years) examples of how real life organisations handle mgt accouting decisions day-day, year -year are always provided to retain reader interest. Also handy for quick reference to subject area.

4.0 out of 5 stars Informative, interesting and up to date., 22 Sep 2000
Due to it's up to date approach and use of recent FT case studies this book has managed to turn an ordinary accounting text book into something easily understandable and suprisingly readable. This is ideal for students as well as people in the profession as it is both informative and in depth without being intimidating to a newcomer to the subject.
