5.0 out of 5 stars Conquering Knight, Captive Lady - Brill read, 31 Jan 2009
Set in 1158 in the reign of King John, this book see's our Lord and his lady battle it out for the supremacy of a castle. Each believes it is rightly theirs. Sexual tension grows between them, not to mention the chemistry they have towards each other, even if neither of them knows it. There were parts of the book where the emotion of the writing made me want to cry, I could not put it down and thats due to the brilliant story telling of Anne O Brien. Please read this book I promise you won't be disappointed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A super book, 25 Mar 2009
By Anna Wilkinson (skegness united kingdom) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is the story of a lady who inherits a castle which in turn is invaded by a robber baron. The story has humour and is a really entertaining read. The heroine is fiesty and not easily cowed and the robber baron is in the great tradition of heroes. There are a lot of trials and tribulations but everything is brought to a satisfactory conclusion. I lkie the fact that Gervase the hero is basically a good man and quite realistic for this type of story.
If you like historical romance you will love this.
