Highly detailed postcard size illustrations that more than compliment the work of Tolkien.In my opinion the artists have captured in their work the life blood of Middle Earth that make the books so appealing.Frame each piece and have a highly desirable collection that would make any household wall proud.

This is a nice little collection of 20 quality postcards in softback book form. I have enjoyed the art of Tolkiens world, particularly Alan Lee, John Howe, Roger Garland and Ted Nasmith, for some time now. Indeed, if you are a collector of the very popular calendars you will have seen some of these pictures before.

However this collection also includes some interesting artwork by Cor Blok and Stephen Hickman. While Cor Blok's view of Tolkien's world resembles nothing so much as the Pink Panther cartoons, I have a feeling that Stephen Hickman's work will receive wider publication.

This is a nice set and will make some nice little pictures when framed. I wouldn't recommend them to film-only fans, but although I don't think that the set is cheap they are worth the price to any true Tolkien book fans.

I am proud to have them in my collection!
