With 700+ pages and smallish print, there's a lot in here. A collection of up to date essays written by experts and palaeo professionals - some easy-read, others fairly technical. Too many to list, but you'll be pushed to think of a dinosaur related topic that isn't covered. Example? there are no less than 4 essays on aspects of dinosaur metabolism and thermodynamics alone. The best dinosaur book ever for the interested non-professional? Probably. Why have I not seen this book on shelf in any bookstore? The paperback's a bargain - buy it now. It is usefull (but not essential) if you have a very basic knowledge of anatomy (GCSE Level), although it does start off simple if you are reading the book cover to cover as I did. It contains many good illustrations and even a colour section in the middle. My only very minor negative point is that some of the pictures (very few)at the back are little more than rough sketches.
