5.0 out of 5 stars Do you speak Tintin's linguo?, 5 Jan 2004
By A Customer
Being a fan of Tintin cartoon character and an enthusiastic viewer of his adventures on TV, I was very pleased to find this picture dictionary at my local library. I borrowed it and enjoyed it so much I tried to order it on Internet but it seems to be out of stock.
What a brilliant idea to illustrate most words with scenes (easily identifiable and phrases from T's stories, from French into English or English into French. I think this dictionary would greatly help francophile and "tintinophile" readers like me to improve our knowledge of French and it fun at the same time.

5.0 out of 5 stars Do you speak Tintin's linguo?, 22 Dec 2003
By A Customer
Being a fan of Tintin's stories and an avid viewer of his adventures on TV, I was very excited when I recently saw and borrowed this dictionary at my local library. I liked it so much I tried to buy it on Internet but unfortunately it is unavailable.
It works like a traditional bilingual dictionary but it also illustrates examples with drawings and speech bubbles from Tintin's books. A brilliant idea! I have already learnt lots of phrases and I am convinced it would help other Tintin's fans and francophiles to improve our French while having fun (trying to identify which story the phrase comes from)

A reader from Epsom.
