1.0 out of 5 stars this stinks - rubbish, 17 May 2008
This review is from: Notso Hotso (Paperback)
Anne Fine is a children's laureate but this book that she has written is just rubbish (and that is only the polite way to say it); it let's down her good quality as if it got washed away with the rain or blown away with the wind (like my garden fence). This is aimed at both girls and boys aged around 6 - 9 years old.

The book `Notso Hotso' (this one) is as if it is told by the dog himself: it is kind of like a dairy in a way. It has black and white illustrations, a wide range of vocabulary, lots of dialogue, a problem or two, and lots of other things that are good for pre school children's stories - the only bad thing is the subject which is pretty dead boring.

1.0 out of 5 stars Rubbish - belongs in the bin!, 28 Oct 2008

(REAL NAME)
This review is from: Notso Hotso (Paperback)
My daughter hated this book. The story was dull, the dog was uncaring and it was impossible to like any of the characters. The dialog was just trash. My daughter wrote in her school review of this book 'was full of bad grammar'. She's right. It might be alright if read to 5 or 6 year olds.
