Steve Bayes has written an excellent book for intermediate and advanced users of the Avid editing system. I've been freelance editing for the past eight years, and I still dip into The Avid Handbook frequently, despite being (in my opinion), a very experienced, technically literate, Editor.
I recommend this to any Avid Editor - whatever their experience.
