Synopsis
Photoshop has four types of users: graphic layout artists, screen based media designers, professional digital image makers and hobbyists. The program's interface is designed to meet the needs of all of these customers - something which can cause confusion amongst users faced with a multitude of different commands for purposes. Photoshop books often concentrate on the wider audience - leaving little considerations for the needs of professionals photographers. The book is a practical working manual designed to meet the needs of professional photographers. It begins first of all with an introduction to working with digital images: from colour management to file compression, proofing and output issues. Subsequent chapters act as practical tutorial sessions, leading you through a range of techniques that will enable you to get the best results from your software. A CD-ROM tutorial in the back gives practical demonstrations of the techniques - sit back and learn, or use the try out Photoshop software and freeware images to try new things yourself.

This book is extremelly helpful. Is a very good guide to almost all aspects of Photoshop related to photography. The firsts chapters are dedicated to color, formats, color managment, etc. I thought I knew about those subjects, but I have learned more than I could ever imagined about them.

The book takes you by the hand and guide you through
