About the Author
Peter Alliss represented Great Britain and Ireland eight times in the Ryder Cup and England ten times in the World Cup. Twice captain of the PGA and first president of the European Women's PGA, he was also president of the British Greenkeeper's Association. During his UK playing career he won the PGA Championship three times, the Open Championships of Spain, Italy, Portugal and Brazil - plus twenty other European victories.
Peter is recognised throughout the world for his TV commentaries for both ABC in the USA, and the BBC in Europe. He hosted 140 Pro Celebrity Golf programmes for the BBC between 1974 and 1988, as well as his highly successful series 'Around with Alliss'. His most recent TV series 'A Golfer's Travels' is currently being shown around the world.
Martin Haydon - known to his family and friends as Edd - is an illustrator and cartoonist with a unique, humorous style and a passionate enthusiasm for golf. Benefiting from maturing years and a wealth of experience in the sport, his cartoons and subtle observations readily evoke a feelings of 'deja vu' from golfers of all abilities. He describes himself as an artist on the fairways with the ability to draw both on and off the course.
