Synopsis

Chart-toppers from the 70s and 80s will compete against each other for one more go at pop stardom. The thing is... they've changed a bit. They're older and wiser, but still hungry for fame and this is their chance to prove they've still got what it takes to be a star. Here's how it will be done. They'll all be put on one tour bus and taken on a road trip from hell around some of the toughest and most bizarre venues the USA has to offer. Each night the bus rolls into a different US town, where they each perform just one song in front of whoever is drinking in the town's saloon or bar that night. The crowd vote. The most popular act (as voted for by the Americans) gets a seat on the bus to the next town. The least popular (as voted by ITVI viewers) is kicked off the bus and left in the town they lose in, while everybody else gets back on the bus to travel another 1,000 miles to a new city and a new venue. Where they'll do it all over again. At the end of the series, the final three will perform at a massive live event at Madison Square Gardens, to sing for the record deal they had - and lost.
