With the Classroom in a Book, not only do you get the book to refer to as and when you need to, but also you have the CD to work with. The tutorials are easy to follow and the samples on the CD give you a head start. Illustrator is, at last, starting to make sense!

I'm going throught this book now, and though extremely useful, there are still irritating differences here and there between Illustrator 10 and the version discussed in the book - which seems to lag behind in version 9 or 8 in places - eg there are now NO boxes in the top right corner of the palettes, unlike in the diagrams. But so far these have only been minor things.

It's worth buying this along with the Visual Quickstart Guide.

This book is brilliant, it's easy and fun to use and I've had great fun working through it. I still have to refer back to it sometimes and it's not so good for that but as a teaching tool you can't do better!
