5.0 out of 5 stars Exemplary, 2 Sep 2008

(REAL NAME)
Don't even think about ARM system-level programming without a copy of this book. This book is possibly the most precise reference manual in my technical library - first the microprocessor core itself (including details of the execution pipeline) is discussed and then each instruction - ARM and THUMB - is described in detail with psuedocode.
This isn't a textbook - it's not going to "teach you to write ARM" but if you're a software professional who has already mastered the concepts of RISC programming then this book is exactly what you need.
Incidentally, you can download an electronic copy (one page at a time) from the ARM website. I'm a bit Old School and like paper on my desk!
