5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent book set out in a clear informative manner., 22 Nov 2000
By A Customer
This book clearly sets out the mathematical theory and then follows that with practice examples. Each chapter is well labelled and different mathematical areas can be easily found by using the comprehensive index at the back of the book. It is therefore very useful if you need to work on a child's particular weakness as you can pick out the relevant section and then move onto another section whenever you wish. Finally, it is always useful to have as a reference book, for example: What shape is a rhombus? How do you calculate the mean of a set of numbers?

3.0 out of 5 stars Okay., 27 April 2000
By A Customer
This book is okay for learning GCSE Mathematics at Intermediate Level although it does go over the top from time to time. Take care when doing the exercises as some examples are set at the higher level.
