Product Description
Nature, September 7, 2000
...an excellent, well-balanced, non-specialist book covering both the biological and social aspects of cannabis. I strongly recommend it

Book Description
In The Science of Marijuana, Leslie Iversen explains how cannabis acts in the brain and assesses the scientific basis for the medical use of cannabis and risks this may entail. The author is a scientist with an expert knowledge of the subject and the book is written with a minimum of scientific jargon or technical language for readers who want to know more about the science that underlies the current cannabis debate.

5.0 out of 5 stars An excellent source of reliable information on marijuana., 2 Dec 2000
By A Customer
I have workd in this field for some years. There is still a huge mythology that surrounds this subject, supplemented by black propaganda and poor quality clinical research. In this book the author provides an authoritative review of the subject separating fact from fiction. It is the most balanced account that I have read. It provides an excellant background particularly for those interested in the potential therapeutic applications. This should be the primary source of information for all health professionals interested in the area. It should also be mandatory reading for any politician or other individual who wishes to comment on, or influnce policy in this area. I strongly recommend this book.
