5.0 out of 5 stars It's so easy to have fun!, 30 Nov 2000
By A Customer
Lewis and Bedson's book is an absolute must for any teacher of young learners. This collection of language games covers the key topics taught during the first years of English. There is a wide choice of games for each area so teachers can choose the ones which best suit their classes and teaching styles. Layout and presentation are extremely clear and well structured so that key information such as suitable age, time required, group size, teaching aims, etc. are accessible at a glance. The description of each game is to the point and easy to follow with illustrations and examples where appropriate. Especially younger and less experienced teachers will find the introduction on playing games in the classroom extremely useful as it is brimming with practical advice and common sense suggestions. I have used games from this book in a primary school environment and from my personal experience I can say that it is guaranteed to add zest to language classes and to turn the most reluctant pupil into a fan. If you are a young teacher or about to go abroad for a year as a language assistant, this is the book you should have with you!

1.0 out of 5 stars Grumbles, 24 Jun 2007
I'm a relatively new foreign language teacher and bought this book in good faith. Sadly, I found it lacking in inspiration and have yet to use any of the games as I have found better ideas easily available elsewhere. Just a note to other language teachers
