This is the ultimate dictionary of the English language if you have a CD ROM drive and can use the query language, which is neceessary to the get the full value out of the CD. It takes up less space than the 20 volumes - all of it on one CD - and is easier to use than the microprint edition. It also has the advantage of being searchable by keyword or phrase, which unlocks a vast amount of information. You can search the definitions, the etymologies, the quotes, etc. Output of searches is by query files and the SQL-type query language. The help files are a good guide to this and most users should have no trouble after some practice.
