5.0 out of 5 stars The most useful book I've ever come across for ELT, 30 Jul 2005
By T. Walton (Barcelona, Spain) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
Whether you want to produce flashcards or some other material, or just add variety to your lessons (or explain a grammar or vocabulary point) with a quick blackboard drawing, Andrew Wright's book is truly excellent.

'But I CAN'T draw,' teachers always say when I recommend it. You don't need to be able to DRAW, the book says: you need to be able to COPY, which is much, much easier -- anyone can do it.

And when you're confident that you can copy, you can then start to draw, too...

Teaching and learning should be fun -- drawing makes it fun.

5.0 out of 5 stars A unique book! A classically practical book for teachers., 3 April 1999
By A Customer
This must be one of the most useful books for language teachers ever published! There are more than 1000 pictures in it which can be photocopied or easily copied by hand. At the back of the book are many practical suggestions for using the pictures. Should be on every teacher's table.

5.0 out of 5 stars You too can draw like an artist., 28 April 2006
I literally cannot draw a thing, yet with this book, I can draw like an artist.

This book is split into categories, with associated pictures. Covers everything from facial expressions, food, items, verbs, nouns, health & welfare, house & home, behaviour, special effects etc.

All pictures are bold and in black and white, which also allows for the opportunity to trace them as well.

These are simple pictures to copy, but with very effective results.

Since buying this book, numerous others have seen it and gone on to buy it also.

In my opinion, it is the best book of its kind on the market.
