Great Sandford stuff. Loved every minute of the mystery and action. Features many of the characters that we've come to know and love.

3.0 out of 5 stars Quick read -, 23 Nov 2009
By Max (Italy) - See all my reviews
Virgil Flower is quite an interesting character. He has got a sense of humor and is sometimes inclined to philosophical and even theological reflections. He is also good hearted and quick to make friends, as well as at ease with the most diverse companies (from the business jet set, to the radical intellectuals down to drunken fishermen). The plot is action-packed. You find yourself following Virgil wandering around the Mid-West, thorough Indian Reserves and unspoiled lakes. At some stage though you ask yourself why are you bothering reading this book if the whole story could have been so much better pictured in a movie? Advised for those who are just too lazy to make it to the cinema or to the local Blockbuster.
