4.0 out of 5 stars A surprisingly good read, 6 Feb 2004
This book dropped into my lap and because it is a sequel, I had to read 'Blue Moon' first.

'Baby Blue' follows the further adventures of Mia who has now had her baby and charts her highs and lows of suddenly having to cope with her new responsibilities.

Still at odds with her divorced parents, she finds her old school life and friends slowly drifting away as she tries to balance her old life with her new one.

The book gently moves along as Mia has to make life-changing decisions and come to terms with the fact that as we grow older, our lives move on.

Being a single mother is never easy and Julia Green paints a life-like picture of a typical teenager coming to terms with her own shortcomings, and the realisation that once decisions are made, we have to live with the consequences, good and bad.

Not a book I would normally read, but I enjoyed it

5.0 out of 5 stars Better than the First!!!!!!!!!!!, 16 Feb 2005
By A Customer
"Baby Blue" tells of life after Mia has had her baby. Though unlike most books like this, "Baby Blue" shows a different side of teenage motherhood and how sometimes love can help you through tough problems. A 16 year old Mia has just had her baby boy and with no help from the Father she maneges to struggle through and make a suprising new friend. Very recommendable to any teenager, it's a powerful wake up call.

4.0 out of 5 stars Not as good as the first because it was slightly boring in places, 26 Sep 2006
Read the first one (Blue Moon), before you read this one!

I really enjoyed this book! I'm glad that there is a second one. This book tells the story of Mia after she has had her baby, Kai. It tells of her relationship with Will, her relationships with her friends, her relationship with her Dad and with Kai. It talks about how life is for her now that she has had Kai. It was an excellent book and I really reccomend it.
