A Spooky prophecy, 16 Jan 2005
This book is such a gripping page-turner ,that I couldn't put it down, and read it from cover to cover in one sitting. It was painfully agonising reading it to start with, as I realised that I was actually reading what could have been sheer prophecy, about the Tusanmi disaster. The book is set in places the author imagined to be in the Thailand, Indonesia area. The book's setting and imagery is so atmospheric, it is a spooky description of both the underwater earthquake and tidal wave, written two years before the disaster took place. It made me feel very uncomfortable about being able to watch the events of the disaster unfold in my living room, without doing anything to help the victims. I was left feeling that I was still living the experience with the characters in this powerful tale, two hours after I had finished reading Neil's fantastic book. This is a memorable story which stays with you long after you have finished reading It is exceptionally well-written, with a fast-moving, imaginative storyline, making this book a pleasure to read. I have no hesistation in highly recommending this book as one of the best books I have read over the last year . Fiona Whelpton BA Author of The Cycle Path Chipmunka publishing consultant.
