Product Description

Vince & Joy Remember having sex for the very first time? Remember thinking: this is The One? Remember life getting in the way…? Remember wondering: what happened to the person I once was? And what happened to the person I first fell in love with? For Vince and Joy, finding your destiny is easy. Following it, isn’t… From teenage love in an eighties holiday park to flatshares, relationships, career crises and children, Vince & Joy is the unforgettable story of two lives lived separately but forever entwined; and asks the question: how do you know when something is really meant to be?

About the Author

Lisa Jewell is in her thirties and was born and raised in north London, where she lives with her husband and their baby girl Amelie Mae. She worked as a secretary before redundancy, a bet and a book deal took her away from all that. She is the author of four huge bestsellers: Ralph’s Party, Thirtynothing, One-Hit Wonder and most recently Friend of the Family.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fell in love with this book, 29 Jul 2006
By N. Stuart "Almost Poetic" (San Diego, California USA) - See all my reviews
(REAL NAME)
This is the best Lisa Jewell book I've read since Ralph's Party (my first Lisa Jewell book) which I found at my local bookstore in the states. Now I come to the Amazon UK site to get my Lisa fix! This book was funny, sweet, sad...and brought back memories of first loves and how easily they come and go. Would recommend!

5.0 out of 5 stars Vince and Joy by Lisa jewell, 1 Mar 2006
Absolutely brilliant makes you want to shout out loud at the twists and turns of the plot. Switches from one character to the other so you are aware of how they are both feeling and so have a real desire for it to work out in the end causing you to keep on reading until you get there and believe me you wont be disappointed by the end!

5.0 out of 5 stars I Loved This book, 16 Aug 2005
By Mrs Bev Jordan (MACCLESFIELD, CHESHIRE United Kingdom) - See all my reviews
This book had me gripped from page 1, I have read all of Lisa Jewell's other books and this one is, in my opinion, her best book. I read the book in 2 days and 'got in to it' so much that I feel that now i've finished reading the book i'm missing the characters and would love her to write a sequel. It's so much better than just 'Chick Lit' - Men would love this book too!!

I love Lisa Jewell. She escapes the cliches of chick lit by giving us warm, flawed but ultinately lovable characters, both old, young, male and female. Read more

5.0 out of 5 stars Brilliant
From the story and history of the author's other works, this novel looks like a chick-lit offering. And to a certain extent it fits comfortably within this genre. Read more
