There's nothing wrong with this as such, it's just that there's so much missing. The maps are not great - the text talks of various areas of the city (Navigli, Brera etc) but nowhere is a map with the names of the districts on them - you need to work out where they are from the text. A simple guide map would make things easier (eg the rough guide to Paris has a small map with the relevant arrondissement shaded on each page so you can easily see which part of town it's referring to)

The language section is disappointing - if I'm going to Italy I want an extensive food and drink glossay, and I also want the basics of Italian. I'm there for 48 hours - I don't want to have to buy a separate phrase book.

The whole thing is just not as good as it should have been. If you want a guidebook to Milan, get the Lonely Planet (which has its faults too, but is much better than this; we had both on a recent trip)
