Product Description

Review
'Veronica Henry writes like a dream and I enjoyed every minute of this brilliant novel. A glorious Cotswold setting, lots of naughty goings-on and pacy storytelling par excellence - who could ask for more? I thought Honeycote was perfect, but Making Hay is even better' Jill Mansell

Product Description
Welcome to Honeycote. Beware of the wild life. Suzanna and Barney Blake are swapping city life for the countryside – determined to breathe new life into the Honeycote Arms and a marriage touched by tragedy. Newly divorced Ginny Tait arrives in Honeycote at around the same time – with very nubile twin daughters and an awful lot of baggage. If the newcomers expected to find a sleepy English village, they quickly discover that a whole host of colourful characters have long woken up to more interesting ways of using the bedroom. Throw in a dodgy businessman with a secret past, and Honeycote is soon a veritable hotbed of passiuon and intrigue. Will Ginny be blinded by choice and go for Mr Wrong again? Will Suzanna and Barney find happiness in Honeycote? And if they do, will it be with each other? An intoxicating blend of true love and hidden agendas, Making Hay proves once and for all that village life doesn’t necessarily mean the quiet life …

5.0 out of 5 stars Wow, get this book now!, 30 Dec 2003
A truly emotional book full of laughter and sorrow. Veronica Henry reveals an intoxicating mix of true love, dirty deeds and old scores waiting to be settled. Making Hay shows a side of village life that you would have never expected, where "old timers are two timers" and where appearances can be deceptive. The book is full of twists and emotional climaxes which keep you stuck in the book for hours.

A great book for any reader who wants a trip out of their own life into a world of deceit, remorse and homour.

4.0 out of 5 stars Making Hay - Worth Reading, 16 Feb 2004
By A Customer
I have to admit that I enjoyed reading this book. The tale is interesting and the characters are very well developed through out the story. The vast of characters makes sure everyone can find one to identify with. The tale is also a bit touchy. I say, if you are having doubts about buying it or not, then you buy it. It is worth it. It really is.

5.0 out of 5 stars Fantastic, 17 Mar 2004
By A Customer
This book was wonderful. You can see yourself, friends and family in the different characters. The different story lines and development make it an interesting and enjoyable read. The first book Honeycote is also fantastic.
