4.0 out of 5 stars I like the title of this book enormously by the way, 25 Sep 2006
By Hazel Woodward "Hazel" (Cape Town South Africa) - See all my reviews
I found this book most absorbing, having just seen The Squid and the Whale which dealt with a similar subject. I thought it convincing the way the parents' superficial concern about the boy affected him much more badly than either parent could possibly imagine. I particularly liked the way the author handled the boy's inarticulacy and rage... I liked the way she showed in such an uncompromising fashion how almost all his support group failed him so badly. Excellent stuff.
