5.0 out of 5 stars Lovejoy In London, 13 Jun 2000
Lovejoy is back and out to get a German who conned two of his antique dealers out of everything they owned in the new Jonathan Gash paperback.

As usual it takes a while to adjust to Gash's style of writing and Lovejoys strange expressions, but it's not long before he's up to his neck in problems to do with antiques and women. The problem with this novel is that it takes about the first fifty pages to get going, but when it does it becomes a rollercoaster of a novel that keeps you reading to the last page.

I only wish that Pan, or another publisher, would republish the 19 Lovejoy novels currently out of print.

4.0 out of 5 stars It twists and turns like a twisty-turny thing, 3 Dec 2001
A bit long-winded and suffers from dodgy attention span by the narrator, but on the whole, chatty and entertaining, not to mention devious
