5.0 out of 5 stars The Horus Road, 31 Aug 2002
By A Customer
Having read the previous two books in this trilogy,I just had to read this book to see how the Tao family finally rid Egypt of the Setiu invaders. From the moment I started reading I found it difficult to put the book down.I now understand why the author has dedicated the series to Prince Kamose and why she refers to him as "--the most misunderstood character in Egyptiam history."Her descriptions of everyday life in Ancient Egypt come vividly to life and I found myself able to visualise each situation as the story progressed.

5.0 out of 5 stars A MAGICAL ENDING, ENTHRALLING TO THE END, 22 Jun 2001
By A Customer
In the final part of this trilogy, we see Ahmose take up the reins where his brother left off. Continuing their seige of the usurper king's city, patience and planning bring the book to a climactic finish. There are unexpected turns in this book, that could not have been foreseen from the previous two in the series. Ahmes-Nefertari finds herself taking a more hands on military role at home, while her husband fights the battle with the sword. In this book, we see her blossom and share in her triumphs and tragedies. The love story between Rames and Tani is resolved, but not until the very end. This wonderful and colourful depiction of the Tao family's struggle keeps the reader engrossed until the very last page.
